The History of Magnetic Therapy

Magnetic therapy has been around for quite some time. Once written about by the ancient Greeks, including Aristotle, Hippocrates, and Homer, the benefits of magnetic therapy were noticed in ancient times. In fact, the Egyptians relied on the use of magnets then referred to as loadstones, as a natural remedy for a number of ailments. Even the man known as the father of modern medicine, Paracelsus” acknowledge the powerful affects of magnets and linked them to the bodily life force.

Of course, Egypt and Greece are not the only countries that caught on to the power that magnets have. Over 4,000 years ago, China realized the benefits of magnets and their use: the Chinese found that magnets were extremely effective in reducing bodily pain. The discoveries of the Egyptians, the Greeks and the Chinese continued to spread into European countries. By the 3rd century, the healing attributes associated with the use of magnets was a widely known concept and numerous studies were being conducted, as early as the 16th century, on the positive healing properties of magnets and the natural electromagnetic fields that they produce.

Presently, there are more than 1.5 million people that rely on the positive effects produced by what is now known as magnetic therapy. With the new wave of individuals looking to natural remedies for physical ailments, the use of magnets to treat painful conditions is in vogue. Magnetic therapy products are products that can be worn all day everyday, giving patients permanent access to a natural remedy for pain.
